I’d forgotten what wet really was until Wednesday this week. It poured down . After a day of sun it turned to showers and then at 5.25 pm it pissed down and for the first time in 10 years I got a soaking on the bike. Oh how the memories came rushing back firstly to the tips of my fingers then the drip down the back of the neck and finally that trickle down into the groin …. As I walked to the boat I squelched!
The roads awash with water and with what I found to be a punctured back wheel next morning, I made my way back to the town quay . It sucked all the pleasure out of riding the bike.
At this point in time the rear is up thanks to a can of Tyreweld and will stay that way hopefully till I get the bike home next weekend. Typically today I brought a one piece waterproof and the forecast is sunny for the next few days.

I need to order an oil filter for next weekend so I can also do an oil change next weekend the bikes not having had one since I brought it and paranoia/guilt is starting to cut in.
